Yaw Owusu Jr. is a natural healer and athlete. His passion for strength through vitality has been changing the lives of his clients for over 12 years by helping them with corrective exercise and nutrition. In 2008 he founded PeakFit Services and embarked on perfecting the groundbreaking training concept known as a vitality training method, a vitality algorithm to assess and create individualized programs to improve Mindset, Nutrition, Sleep, Recovery, and Exercise. PEAK, an anagram for Performance, Education, Athletics, and Kinesiology, is the fundamental backbone of Yaw’s mission for PEAK mind/body/spirit.

After attending Florida’s Lincoln high school championship track team, Yaw studied Exercise Physiology at FSU and is proud to have been an integral part of their championship track team and played defensive back on their award winning football team. With his lifetime of experiences as an athlete, Yaw received his NASM CPT and CES in 2005 also earn his PN level 1 sports nutrition certification in 2012 and quickly climbed the ranks as a wellness consultant later becoming a restorative movement specialist training professional, Division-1 athletes.

With the knowledge he gained during his employment at various pro facilities around the country, he went on to co-found the YEAH Program, a fitness program dedicated to developing and inspiring healthy young athletes.  Yaw then went on to create the Peak fit Academy: a continuing education program that coaches fitness professionals how to develop a client’s athletic potential through the correction of physical imbalances and proper execution of strength and speed exercises while preventing injuries and chronic pain.

Now working as a wellness consultant in NYC, Yaw helps create fitness and wellness educational programs to personal trainers around the world, his fitness consulting company Peak fit services can provide coaching for entry-level wellness coaches all the way to master level trainers, on how to improve the client’s overall experience.
